Central Coast 2/136 defeated North Coast 135
Central Coast are Bradman Cup Champions for 2006/07 after defeating North Coast by 8 wickets at Rogers Park today. After dismissing North Coast for 135. Central Coast passed the total for the loss of just two wickets.
Matty Muir was the star taking 6/28 to run through the vaunted North Coast batting line up. With the bat Pat Buscombe 51 and Colby Gallagher 25 got the Coast off to a great start with Tristan McDonald 35 no and Jason Hayward 20no finishing the job off.

Defending Champions North Coast and host Central Coast will meet in the Bradman Cup Final at Rogers Park tomorrow.
Both sides remained unbeaten after the three preliminary rounds which included contrasting victories in Round 3 matches.
North Coast eased into the final with a solid 5 wicket victory over Western Zone at Adcock Park. On a good batting wicket Western made 6/208 from their alloted 60 overs. Opener Chris Russo topscored with 66 and Tim Armstrong contributed 48. In reply North Coast led by inform batsmen Ben Cooper 98 as well as opener Craig Rogan 81 passed the total for he loss of 5 wickets.
On the otherhand Central Coast survived a top order batting collapse for the second time this week when they defeated Newcastle by 1 wicket. Newcastle had first use of the Sohier Park deck and after losing three early wickets, skipper Jon Laverick (53) and Matthew Gawthrop (48) put together a good partnership and enabled Newcastle to finish with 8/186. In reply Central Coast were struggling at 5/64 off 27 overs at tea. With a finals spot on the line Billy O'Neill 61 and Jason Hayward 54 took the side within sight of victory before the tailenders hit the winning run. Earlier Dave Molan bowled well again picking up four wickets for Central Coast whilst Liam Thornton, 4 wickets and Mark Graham three the most succesful Newcastle bowlers.
Southern Zone survived a stubborn Riverina comeback winning by 13 runs at Baker Park. Batting first Southern Zone were dismissed for 167 with Justin Gordon 48, Sam Williams and Justin Ganderton 30 apiece leading the way. Cobram's Drew Cameron was the pick of the Riverina bowlers with 4/37. In reply Riverina were in all sorts of trouble at 6/40 however a lateorder fightback took them to within sight of victory however the final wicket fell with the score on 154. Len Hadrill , batting at number 9, topscored with 44. Richards, Insley and Bennett all finished with three wickets for Southern Zone.
In the final game Central North were too srong for Illawarra wininng by 8 wickets. This match was transferred to a synthetic wicket following Erina Oval being deemed too wet following the sprinklers being left on overnight.
Illawarra, batting first struggled with the bat being dismissed for 114 with Myles Cook the star with the ball for Central North finishing with the figures of 4/5 off 12 overs. Joel Brockley was the only Illawarra batsmen to perform scoring 35. In reply Central Nortyh passed the score for the loss of just 2 wickets, opener Shannon Bills remained unbeaten of 50no.

Newcastle 6/137 (H Yates 3/26) defeated Illawarra 8/136 (Amit Balgi 51, Hayden Daly 20 no)
A magnificent spell of fast bowling by Nowra paceman Justin Ganderton guided Southern Zone to a seven wicket win over Westren Zone at Sohier Park.
Ganderton took 7/21 off 11 overs as Western Zone were dismissed for just 106 runs. Tim Armstrong was the only batsmen to do well finishing with 36.In reply Southern Zone eased to victory for the loss of just three wickets with Blake Hutchinson (69no) and Brynley Richards (50no) putting together an unbeaten 121 run partnership.
At Baker Park, North Coast made it back to back victories when they accounted for Riverina by 72 runs. Batting first North Coast finished with 9/209 from their allotted overs with Ben Cooper continuing his good form scoring 69 whilst Jeremy Cowin was unbeaten on 52. Dyaln McNeil bowled impressively to finish with 5/44.Riverina were always under pressure in their innings eventually being dsmissed for 137. Dean Crane topscored with 46 whilst Nathan O'Connor and Joe Willman each picked up three wickets.
Host Zone, Central Coast kept their unbeaten record in tact when they defeated Central North by 5 wickets at Umina Oval. Central North struggled aftre losing two early wickets and only managed to score 123 batting first. No batsmen made a major contribution whilst Dave Molan picked up three wickets. Central Coast were able to pass this total for the loss off five wickets. Tristan McDonald 42 and Pat Buscombe 35 were the best of the Coast batsmen, Luke Nicholls was the pick of the Central North bowlers with 3/30.
In the final game Newcastle had to fight hard before defeating Illawarra by 4 wickets. Sent in on a sticky wicket Illawarra were dismissed for 136 with Amit Balgi topscoring with 51, Liam Thornton took 3/26 to be the best Newcastle bowler.. In reply Newcastle managed to pass the score for the loss of six wickets with four overs to spare. Matthew Gawthrop with 48no and Nick Fagan 43 ensured the Novacatrians would record their first win. Paceman Harison Yates bowled well to finish with 3/26.
ROUND I
Defending champions North Coast got off to a winning start in this years competition when they defeated Southern Zone by 3 wickets at Rogers Park. Batting first Southern Zone recovered from the loss of four early wickets to reach 6/211 from their allotted overs. In reply North Coast passed the total for the loss of 7 wickets.
Central North had a convincing 7 wicket victory over Newcastle at Adcock Park. Sent into bat on a seaming wicket Newcastle were dismissed for just 106 with skipper Jonathon Laverick topscoring with 28. Tamworth's Nick Pearson was the destroyer finishing with 4/17 from his 12 overs. In reply Central North finished at 6/191 with Aaron Flaherty (47) and Kyle Gallen (44) the main contributors.Nick Fagan picked up two wickets for Newcastle.
At Baker Park, a fine innings of 74no from Ben Gillies saved the Central Coast innings and enabled them to record a 66 run victory over Illawarra. The home side were in trouble at 7/116 however Gillies and Joel Wilson (29) were able to put on 68 for the eigth wicket to get CEntral Coast to 221. Amit Balgi was the most succesful Illawarra bowler with 4/50 whilst paceman Kyle Kruger finished with 3/52. In reply Illawarra struggled to keep up with the run rate and at the completion of their 60 overs were 9/155. Joel Brockley (33) and Tim Moore (32no) were the pick of the Illawarra batsmen whilst Dave Molan picked up three wickets for the Coast.
In the final game Western Zone defeated Riverina by three wickets at Sohier Park. On a wicket providing excellent bounce Riverina were dismissed for just 137 with Sam Whitfield top scoring with 34. Chris Treain was the leading Western bowler with 3/14. Western Zone made hard work of the chase however an excellent innings of 55 from Tim Armstrong saw the Western Zone side home with 14 overs and 3 wickets to spare. Danny Lolicato bowled well for Riverina picking up 4/16 from 8 overs.

2006 RESULTS
FINAL
North Coast 142 (after 54 overs) defeated Western 94 (after 54 overs). Western seemed to have the trophy when cruising at 1/44 in reply to North Coast's 142. However, the loss of two wickets in one over and then a steady fall of wickets saw North Coast take the trophy for the first time.
